Hunger Prevention
Due to the high levels of poverty in Pakistan, especially in the rural areas, there is a lack of stable food sources which has led to the prevalency of malnutrition and starvation. It is estimated that nearly 280,000 children die each year because of malnutrition. As economic conditions worsen and food costs increase, food scarcity is expected to impact a larger portion of the population, including those who are most vulnerable.
AB-H Foundation’s Action Against Hunger
AB-H Foundation provides families monthly groceries via our Hunger Prevention Program based on their eligibility.
Those families who are in extreme need and have no possible way to put food on the table are provided groceries for free.
For working families who have an income stream yet still require assistance, they are provided groceries at a 50% discount in order to alleviate the burden of expenses they face.
Additionally, AB-H Foundation also hands out Ramadan Grocery Packs to aid those in need throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.
